The Ozeri Body Tape Measure and Body Fat Test Caliper Combo Pack

I have been working hard to lose weight but instead of the pounds on my scale going down, it keeps going up!! Talk about a huge motivation killer. It was enough to make me not want to work out anymore A lot of people keep telling me I'm building muscles and I I KNOW in the back of my mind that is true but who wants to keep working out with no results?  I was told when working out and building muscle stay off of a scale but I NEED some way to measure my progress just for piece of mind. So I was very excited to try this Body Fat Test Caliper and Body Tape Measure. I was told you lose inches before you lose pounds so this combo was a fantastic way for me to put that theory to the test.

The body Fat Test Caliper is very simple to us and comes with an easy to read chart. The numbers were not exactly what I wanted to see and I have nothing to compare them to but at least I have a starting point. It is made out of a very nice heavy duty plastic so it will be durable for a long time. The measuring mechanism slides easily without having to be forced so there is no fear of having to push so hard I may be breaking it.

I love that the measuring tape is NOT the cloth type you have to roll up. I have one of those and I put a rubber band around it to keep it neat. Well the rubber band mysteriously disappeared the first time I unrolled the tape to use it. The type "holder" is made from a nice durable, heavy plastic  The tape comes out and holds its place then retracts very smoothly. When you are stopped at the point you are trying to measure, there is a slot to hold the tape in place. The downside is it is metric is the side showing, so if you want to see inches you have to turn it upside down.

Both are sizable enough for the numbers to be completely legible but small enough to be portable and easily stored away. They would easily pack in a suitcase or bag for travel as well. I'm glad I have something to help me to accurately and easily measure my progress. I just hope these numbers go down instead of up!

I received this product complimentary but the opinion i expressed is all mine. Rest assured I only recommend products I feel are good for my readers.

  1. How interesting. I always go by my weight, not my inches - but now I think I would be interested to use this and see what I measure in at.

  2. I do not even want to know about my inches. I'm worried about my weight right now.. I can only handle one bad number at a time.

    1. I know what you are saying! They said I'm gaining muscle so I thought this would make me feel better but.... I don't think I'm there yet!

  3. I have never really bothered with inches just my weight.I like that tape measure that you can clip it rather than struggling to hold it and check the number.

  4. Looks like an interesting (but kinda scary) product LOL I'm not sure my "roll" would fit into those squeezers LOL

  5. Wow I didn't know you could buy one of those contraptions for yourself. I'd actually like to have one. And I love the modern design of the tap measure!

  6. I'm at a point where I don't even want to know my body fat percentage for fear of becoming depressed! It's a great tool to have though, especially if you're trying to lose weight/fat.

  8. I don't know my weight. I had been trying to gain weight last year... now, I can pinch more than an inch so I think I gained more than I wanted to. I guess I need to try the body fat test caliper.

  9. I think I would probably cry if I used this kit myself - but I am sure it would be really useful to some :) x

  10. This is great. I tell my husband to measure his body fat instead of counting pounds. I think you can read the results a lot easier.

  11. Oh my goodness this is too cool, but I think I'd need a bigger fat measuring tool for some areas. I may want to jump off a bridge after I saw my measurements!

  13. Ozeri has some fabulous products, don't they? I actually have a scale that measures my body fat for me, but I think this tool would be handy to take along on travel.

  14. I like that these are easy to use! I have seen body fat calipers that are pretty irritating to figure out!

  17. My youngest just broke my measuring tape last week and I have been looking for a replacement. I love that this one can wrap around and you can close it off like the one I had.

  18. I never weigh nor measure myself. I just try to eat healthy. I think too much emphasis gets placed on a number instead of true health. They do seem to be handy equipment for those that like to keep track

  19. I have to stay away from anything that is trying to measure my fat, I can just look and see, eating healthy is what I'm trying to focus on.

  20. You are building muscle & will maintain/gain weight. But as long as you food great, it doesn't matter what the scale says. You're healthier :)

  21. I want to get me one of those body fat calibers measures. I know that they are a great way of figuring out your body fat. I currently use my Aria scale to measure my body fat but I am not always how sure how accurate it is.

  22. This is really great. I keep seeing the Ozeri brand come up again and again. It makes me want to try their products.

  23. This seems like it would really come in handy and probably a better measure of true weight loss than the scale. Keep on keeping on with your journey to live healthier.

  24. I'd be scared to use it, but it beats having someone else do it for you. It's also nice that you'll have it for comparison as you move through your journey.

  25. Both of these look great! It is always nice to have something at hand to track your progress! I also like that they are small enough to be easily portable!
