Speedminton S200 Set Review

When we go camping I'm always looking for new games to bring with us so when I got to review the Speedminton S200 Set I was so excited. I love Badminton and so does my husband so this was a perfect thing for us to bring.

The set includes
2 S200 aluminum rackets with Mega Power Zone (MPZ)
5 Speeder™ (1 FUN, 1 CROSS, 1 NIGHT and 2 MATCH Speeder™) including a wind ring
8 Cones to mark a playing field
1 Set bag with a reinforced shoulder strap
1 Speedminton® booklet

I was very happy that all the pieces fit very neatly (and cutely) in a sturdy carrying case so no more zip lock bags with pieces. Plus that makes it incredibly portable and easy to store.  The carrying bag is a very thick zip side bag. Something I like even more is the backpack type shoulder strap which makes it easy to carry.

I was immediately excited at the quality of this set. The rackets are also very good quality with sturdy made aluminum handle and  very strong strings.  The cones are very sturdy hard plastic with bendable sides but the tops do not seem like they will get crushed easily. The "birdies' are called speeders because they are slightly smaller and more aerodynamic than other birdies I have used. They are quite cute in various colors like yellow and pink with tops that resemble a bouncy ball. All I'm sure plays a part in them being named speeders meaning they go super fast and super far if hit correctly.

Designed for 2 players it is perfect for me and my husband. If we do decide to share with the kiddos we'll just take turns.

The glow in the dark speeders are so amazing. My children were so excited when they saw them. But  I had to set them straight -- oh no, this set is for me and dad, not y'all!  I can't wait to use them! I think they will so much fun when camping just have to wait for cooler weather so those pesky mosquitoes will go away.... If we are lucky.

But until the cooler weather or when we are head to toe covered in replant we will enjoy the set during the day. I could also see playing with them in the in a game room with a black light how awesome would that be. I love all things black light though, I remember my black light glowing nail polish.  I could also the set being a lot of fun on the beach.

In addition to this set Speedminton has a set for four or eight if you need something bigger. They also offer additional speeders.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I want to know if you have still been able to keep it away from the kiddos because this really does look like a lot of fun. I love badminton, but one thing that always makes me crazy is that the birdies just don't seem to go very far, and god help you if there is the least bit of wind. So these sound so much better!

    1. I have it picked up in the camper so they don't know where it is anymore. Out of sight out of mind!

  2. I was going to ask the same thing as Robin. This looks like so much fun!! And as of one of the girls wants to learn tennis, I think this might actually help her. Thank you for the in-depth review!
