Zakia's Morocco: Moroccan Beauty Products

I had never heard of Zakia's Morocco before I agreed to work with them for a review. But I was lucky enough to get two of their products to review for y'all.

The first product I want to tell you about is the Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask a weekly mask with natural and organic clay from deep inside the Ancient Atlas Mountains of Morocco are the perfect skin treatment for cleaning, detoxifying, toning and rejuvenating. A facial mask treatment made from Ghassoul clay can be relaxing and give your skin a new healthy glow. Ghassoul clay's most impressive properties in skin improvement are its capacity of absorption and adsorption due to its high level of ion exchange. Ghassoul is a mineral rich, light brown clay that blends extremely well with water making its application to the face and skin a smooth and delightful experience. Use on skin and hair - it even makes for a fabulous shampoo; mix a small amount of powder in your favorite shampoo - wash and rinse. Super cleansing!

Okay so this mask is powder so let's face it, it's messy. Learn from my mistake and mix it before you get in the shower in a small dish. I stole a baby milk scoop to grab some of the powder. Once it's mixed it feels like  most mud mask and that's is amazing.  It goes on smooth, if mixed correctly. And once dried it washes off easily.

I decided to use it on a patch of eczema since it has so many amazing ingredients in it.  I let it dry and washed it off an my skin looked much less inflamed. I also used it on my face and my skin felt super soft and hydrated. I love to use a mask weekly it keeps my skin in great shape.

The second one is the Moroccan Black Soap is a wondrous body treatment. It is rich in minerals helping clean and detoxify your skin while leaving an extraordinary smooth and silky finish. It is suitable for all skin types and works particularly well for dry and mature skin.

Zakia's Black Soap is a 100% natural plant product. Based on an olive oil pulp this soap is extremely rich in vitamin E. It is a great emollient, exfoliate and moisturizer. It cleanses the skin leaving the skin soft and silky to the touch. Thanks to this high content of vitamin E, it helps to revitalize the skin, acting against dryness, dehydration and aging skin.

I have to be honest I had a hard time with this soap at first. It is VERY thick and looks a lot like tar. I couldn't get it to lather on my loofah or towel so I was a little irritated at first. It works well with a Keesha exfoliating glove and I just happen to have a similar glove. So I decided to try my exfoliating glove.  I dipped my glove in the jar and scooped a little Black Soap out and wow. I was very impressed.

Since i have to use my glove I didn't use it all over my body. I washed that same spot of eczema that was very inflamed. To my amazement the spot was less raised and red after washing. The soap smells pleasant with a clean. fresh scent which makes it unisex. It's not fruity or flowery nor is the scent overpowering.

I received these products complimentary in exchange for an honest, uncompensated review but the opinion expressed is all mine.
